PE & SPORTS PREMIUM

Each year, we look to build on our PE and Sports provision and now use the government’s PE and Sport Grant to achieve this.

The PE and Sport grant is additional funding given to publicly-funded schools in England to improve physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools over 5 academic years from 2013 to 2018. The grant must be spent on improving the provision of PE and sport for the benefit of pupils so that they develop healthy lifestyles.

The grant is calculated and paid on an academic year basis. This year the funding has been doubled and the calculation of funding is currently based on the following:

Schools with 17 or more eligible pupils receive £16,000 plus £10 per eligible pupil
